TikTok Integrates Getty Images’ Into Its AI-generated Ads and Avatars

TikTok is expanding its advertising capabilities by allowing advertisers to integrate content from Getty Images into their campaigns using the platform’s AI-driven ad creation tool. This new feature enables advertisers to incorporate Getty’s licensed images and videos into ads that include AI-generated elements, such as realistic AI avatars that resemble actual people.

The integration will be available through TikTok’s Symphony Creative Studio, an AI-powered tool for video creation that was launched today for all advertisers. Symphony Creative Studio allows brands to generate videos based on product descriptions, add AI avatars to discuss the products, and even include AI-driven dubbing in various languages. Additionally, the tool offers the ability to create multiple versions of an advertisement and remix existing ads for further customization.

Getty Images, which introduced its own AI image generator last year, has been building partnerships within the AI industry. The company has licensed its extensive collection of images and videos to businesses like Nvidia and Picsart, allowing them to use its content safely for commercial purposes.

“This collaboration brings easy access to our vast library of millions of premium images and videos, enabling brands and businesses to produce powerful, engaging content tailored specifically for TikTok,” said Peter Orlowsky, Getty Images’ senior vice president of global strategic partnerships, in a statement. This partnership aims to streamline the process of creating impactful TikTok ads by integrating high-quality media with cutting-edge AI technology, making it simpler for advertisers to develop content that resonates with the platform’s audience.
